Testing systems Chassis dynamometer system

Dynamometr System
A chassis dynamometer system typically includes metal rollers that are coupled to a device designed to replicate the inertia and road load experienced by a vehicle on an actual road. This setup allows a stationary vehicle to be tested under various simulated driving conditions, including speed, load, and temperature. Real-time data on a range of parameters, such as horsepower, torque, fuel consumption, and emissions, can be obtained through the use of a chassis dynamometer system. These systems are widely utilized in the automotive industry for vehicle development, performance tuning, emissions testing, and certification.

Dynamometr Testing

In addition to these environmental tests, the system offers various testing options, including exhaust gas consumption, NVH (noise, vibration, and harshness), and durability testing, among others, which can be tailored to the specific applications.

The equipment also employs linear regression to evaluate the driving force of electric inertia in accordance with JASO standard, ensuring high-precision simulation of the vehicle speed of the front and rear wheels.

It can simulate different environmental conditions, such as high and low temperatures, high humidity, low pressure, rain, and snow, to evaluate the performance of the vehicles in various settings.

The testing equipment is capable of accommodating a wide range of vehicles, including four-wheel drive vehicles, hybrid electric vehicles, and electric vehicles
Test Items and other key Elements
Environmental tests
The equipment can simulate any kind of environmental conditions in the world, such as high and low temperatures, high humidity, low pressure, rain, and snow. By subjecting vehicles to different environmental conditions, the system can help manufacturers identify potential issues and improve the reliability of their vehicles. This feature is especially useful for vehicle manufacturers who operate in regions with extreme weather conditions, ensuring their products can perform optimally in any environment.
Noise tests
The testing equipment is capable of performing noise tests in a simple anechoic room and road noise tests using a low noise and liquid-cooled dynamometer. Noise testing is an essential aspect of vehicle development and certification, as excessive noise can be a nuisance to passengers and cause environmental issues. The system can accurately measure the noise emitted by vehicles during operation and identify sources of noise that require improvement. With the ability to perform both indoor and outdoor noise tests
Fuel consumption or exhaust gas emission
The testing equipment is capable of conducting fuel consumption and exhaust gas emission tests that comply with regulations in Japan, EPA (US), and Europe. These tests are critical to evaluating the performance and environmental impact of vehicles, ensuring compliance with local and global emissions standards. By accurately measuring and analyzing the fuel consumption and emissions, the system can provide valuable data and insights for vehicle manufacturers, regulatory bodies, and other stakeholders in the industry
General performance test
With high capacity and high load rating, it can cover full-load performance tests
Production line level check
The system supports sample tests of completed vehicles before shipment from the factory.
Durability tests
The system can support durability tests for catalyzer deterioration evaluation after traveling 100,000 miles (160,934 km).
Reliability of electric inertia
control
By adopting the linear regression analysis function of the driving force to evaluate the electric inertia simulation as defined by JASO Standard, the equipment realized high reliability of electric inertia control.
Frame oil floated and roller over-hung configuration
Mechanical loss of roller bearing can be measured by load cell, and compensation of bearing mechanical loss caused by the change of axle load is possible. In addition, high torque detection accuracy is realized by adopting the frame oil pressure system with less vibration resistance.
High correlativity with road data and reproducibility of load of road
The system can support durability tests for catalyzer deterioration evaluation after traveling 100,000 miles (160,934 km). With high accuracy and good repeatability of load, the system offers operation without a large difference with a real road in terms of exhaust gas consumption evaluation.
Complete Dyno and Equipment Evaluation and Inspection
Dyne Systems offers comprehensive inspection services for your dynamometer (dyno) system and equipment. Our inspection process involves an 80+ point inspection that covers a wide range of areas, ensuring that your equipment is in optimal condition.
